The Police Executives Law Enforcement Institute, L.L.C., formerly known as the Texas State Trooper Law Enforcement Institute, LLC, is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of police departments, corrections, fire, military, and private security organizations across the United States and internationally. The training courses are science-based and evidence-based, presented in two formats that bring academics and practitioners together. The Institute is both teacher-led (pedagogy) and learner-centered (andragogy), offering a mutually beneficial educational experience.

Our training objectives are to identify and deliver ethical, evidence-based methods for interviewing and interrogation, cognitive interviewing, use-of-force, defensive tactics, forensic investigative hypnosis, statement analysis, cold-case management, and any other best-practice courses. These aim to enhance the skills of agency criminal investigators, fire and patrol officers, correctional officers, military personnel, and private security personnel in collecting admissible evidence and reducing false filings and uncorroborated confessions in all cases.
